Nurse Practitioners

Nurse practitioners are senior nurses, who have undertaken further training to work at an advanced level and manage patients independently. They are able to issue prescriptions. You are able to consult a nurse practitioner as an alternative to a doctor for any problem. They will involve a doctor in your care if needed.

Practice Nurses

Our Practice Nurses provide a range of nursing services such as wound dressings, ear syringing, immunisations, injections, cervical smears, asthma & COPD monitoring and diabetes monitoring. They can also give advice on common illnesses and injuries, contraception and menopausal problems, diet and stopping smoking. The practice nurses are unable to issue prescriptions for you but will involve another member of the team if needed.

Andrea is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the practice. She also plays a major role in planning and organising the medical services we provide. If you have any suggestions or questions regarding those services, Andrea can be contacted at the medical centre.

Jorgia plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and effective day‑to‑day running of the practice. Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical teams, she helps coordinate operations, oversee administrative processes, and maintain high standards of patient care.

Administration

Fatima (Team Leader), Sophie, Maxine and Ann handle the administrative duties for the practice.

Reception

Sam (Deputy Team Leader), Jade, Zea, Kaya, Nicola, Leanne, Michelle, Ella (Apprentice), and Scarlett (Apprentice). Our receptionists work across both sites, and are there to help our patients. Our reception staff act at all times in accordance with policies set by the doctors. They will ask for a brief explanation of your problem which will enable them to direct you to the right person for advice or offer you the most suitable appointment. Our receptionists can sometimes tell you standard self-care advice that has been provided by the doctors for very common problems which may not require an appointment.
