The Midwifery team see patients at their own clinic at 58e Cottage Beck Road, Scunthorpe.
Please make a routine appointment with a Doctor when your pregnancy is first confirmed. After this your routine reviews will be with a Midwife. The team can be contacted on (01724) 847362 during the hours of 9am and 5pm, and they will then arrange your first appointment.
Smoking Cessation Clinic
Would you like help to stop smoking? Smoking cessation services are offered by North Lincolnshire Council's Health Trainer service. The Health Trainers are based at the Ironstone Centre, West Street, Scunthorpe DN15 6HX. You can arrange smoking cessation appointments with them by telephoning (01724) 292170.
In addition to general health advice and treatment, the Practice provide the following NHS services:
- Maternity care
- Child Development Monitoring
- Vaccinations and Immunisations
- Minor Surgery
- Diabetes and Asthma/COPD clinics
- Contraceptive services including IUD (coil) fitting, Implanon/Nexplanon fitting
- Post-operative dressing care, suture removal, chronic wound care
- Blood sampling
- Some in-house investigations.
The PCT also provide NHS services at the Practice. Dietetics and Chiropody sessions are held at various times in the week. Access to these services is by referral from a Doctor or Nurse.
Periodic Health Checks
If you are at least 16 and have not consulted us for 3 years or at least 75 and have not consulted us for 1 year, you are welcome to arrange a routine review with a Doctor or Nurse.
If you have trouble within the home, for example you are struggling to perform domestics tasks, then the Occupational Therapists will be able to offer assistance and advice. The service is based at Brumby Resource Centre, and they can be contacted on (01724) 288 079.
Are you having falls regularly? Then you should contact the Falls service. The service is based at the Ironstone Centre in Scunthorpe, and the appointment secretary, Heather Ingall, can be contacted on (01724) 298080.
